For every heart beginning its walk with Jesus — or longing to go deeper.
“This book is for every person who is just beginning their walk with Jesus — or longing to go deeper. My prayer is that these pages will offer you a guide and next steps to accelerate your spiritual journey.”
As I perused through it, I had the sense that I was holding a new believers Swiss Army Knife in my hands. It felt like a combination book, Bible study, personal journal, discipleship strategy, and theological primer all in one—a very useful tool to help someone move forward in faith. Either 1:1 or in a small group, if new believers would walk through its contents with a trained discipler, it would, no doubt, put that person on a path with good footing.
“Now That You Believe” honestly feels different from any other discipleship book I’ve read. It’s real, relatable, and full of practical, everyday examples that make the journey make sense. So many books tell you what you’re supposed to do but never really talk about what it actually feels like to be a new believer. Once the initial excitement fades, it’s easy to feel lost, unsure or even a failure. This book doesn’t make you feel guilty or like you’re falling behind, it’s open, honest, and full of grace. It meets you where you are and encourages you to take small, steady steps as you build your foundation. And honestly, if more new Christians were approached this way, I truly believe it would make a huge impact. Every time I start reading a chapter, it’s like you know exactly how I’m feeling and what I’m trying to understand. Then you back that up by providing practical advice and applications.
I needed this book. It’s helping me learn to pray.
